Transcript extract: Nobel Dr Yunus 2006

Many young people dream about creating a perfect world of their own. Almost all social and economic problems of the world will be addressed through social business. The challenge is to innovate business models and apply them to produce desired results cost-effectively and efficiently

Such as health care for the poor can be a social business, financials services for the poor, information technology for the poor, education and training for the poor, marketing for the poor, renewable energy -these are all exciting ideas for social businesses. Social business is important because it addresses very vital concerns of mankind it can change the lives of the bottom 66% of the world population and help them get out of poverty.

2008-2009 Number 1 question from youth - so where are the open online curricula of social business?

For example

related links

what would you add to social business channel at youtube

-will the web be used to celebrate angels practitioner networks who collaborate over life critical knowhow foci such as water - discuss at http://globalgrameen.ning.com whether a partnership like www.grameenveolia.com could have called for mother of all water benchmarking networks as integral to microeducationsummit and the next decade of collaboration around millennium's most valued human goals

starting in 2008 Norman Macrae Foundation surveyed responses of 10000 youth to a first wave of 25 short videos sampled in a free dvd -most are asserted as open source property from 8 hours of filming of dr yunus and his leading entrepreneurs in Dhaka in summer 2008 - during the same week that the Nobel Prize judges opened a Yunus museum in Dhaka and personally invited 1000 youth entrepreneurs in Dhaks to continuously link in and inspire the world. Born in 1971, Bangladesh's 37th year had innovated hundreds of microfranchises for replication in any community faced with sustainability crises that can only be resolved through empowering worldwide youth collaboration entrpreneurship valued by investors in a global village world mapped round open society and bottom-up economics.

Readers of The Economist campaign for Entrepreneurial Revolution from 1972 (including later splinter groups eg social entrepreneurs 1978, intrapreneurs of service economics circa 1980, and Norman's  net generation Massive Open Online Collaboration entrepreneurs 1984 ... then Soros' Open Society entrepreneurs including his partnering of yunus in empower Bangladeshi mothers to be first rural mobile networks, and microenergy partnerships first founded with Neville Willams Self campaign after he and Jimmy Crater had failed to gree USA) will recall that they were invited to help create 3 billion new jobs of the net generation by celebrating 30000 microfranchise solutions. To remedy the macrobanking follies of the 2000s, nowhere starts the 2010s by offering more extreme value multiplying partnerships integrated round global village labs than Bangladesh as you can read from :

  • the videos and youth networking responses to them
  • the exploits of over 50 of the world's biggest corporate leaders from the youth correspondent diaries maintained  at http://leadersandyunus.ning.com

.we welcome discussions on how to use the yunus10000 videos to multiply million open online collaborations of youth productively around the futures 21st century generations want to sustain with their working lifetimes

- towards a world where no child is born in poverty, and humans' borderless exchanges of knowhow multiply orders of maginutude more health and wealth than was possible in the pre-networking industrial age of hyper-consumption of scarce things resulting in an exponentially dismal ways in developed nations spending ore on arms than learning

fall 2013 gossip between those trying to linkin social business open educators -strand 1 from DC to Dhaka

here are details of 2 us epicentres that might be most interested in yunus work but havent previously been invited academically- they are not directly in mooc circles as far as I know. It remains the case that organising a days diary n sn francisco for yunus would be the way to get conecetd with the people who have the platforms but I here he doesnt want to do that even though i think they include friends like skoll, doerr family, and khan

you might want to contact Raj Sisodia rsisodia@babson.edu or raj.sisodia@consciouscapitalism.org   www.rajsisodia.com

he works with Whole Foods CEO on advancing Conscous Capitalism (including the best selling book) - a term which Mackey attributes to Yunus

as well as conscious capitalism Mackey has arranged microcredit agricultural partnerships all over the world www.wholeplanetfoundation.org

Raj is a professor at Babson Colege in Boston which also hosts this web http://entrepreneurshipofallkinds.org/

I would imagine Raj knows who in usa and india is working on capitalism curricula inspired by yunus social busienss- over in India one of their great friends is the CEO of the Raj Tata group - if we cant get a list of india universities from Kalam and Sunita

When april 2012 I was at conscious capitalism conference, I was asking raj if we could do a special issue of journal of social business on conscious capitalism - the trouble is he already seems to have too much work of his own effectively paid for by John Mackey but that's why if there is a new way for academics with curriculum to connect with yunus you could say I thought he'd want to be first to hear - or you could write without any mention of me  (he wot remember as I dint try to push it)

chris.macrae@yahoo.co.uk

The other big missing link in usa is Thunderbird University - recently Craig Barrett's wife was installed as president - he has been trying to up the presence of arizona education the state he now lives in - at one time he was an ethical curriculum up; recently thunderbird did a deal to join a network of 60 international business schools. I will try and find a few links but I dont have any direct contacts so you could also search

It was Craig that oriiginally made the intel partnership with yunus. You know that recently the newsletter sent from grameen intel in dhaka le me to links which say that they will be providing online education to million health workers in developing world by 2015  not full certifications but some support. Maybe that is an excuse to go visit grameen intel office in dhaka especially if you have something new to took about on yunus education searches

Right time to fax stiglitz if yunus has new economics curricula centre led by youth

If you have a new identity  pro-youth curriculum to correspond on behalf of yunus, then  this would be perfect tome to fax stiglitz

a rolling series of soros change economics -soros video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=etP0t7WlK_4 on politicians macroeconomics is as bankrupt as the the global financial system more at www.ineteconomics.org -   moocs starts next week-while I dont know how heavily stiglitz is involved he would still likely to be pivotal to radical change models of economics having edited that brief for sarkozi on the subject 7 years ago

https://www.coursera.org/course/money

starting next week is the real way money, currency etc gets circulated - the host in a new york part of columbia uni is author of new lombard street  that connects with how wall street has abandoned everything that made lombard street relatively safe when britain's best economist walter bagehot wrote that up at end of last century while being The Economist's best editor and confidante of how to turn queen victoria from head of empire to epicentre of commonwealth

Lord Sainsbury is a donor to the UK branch of INet which it could be worth asking sarah about if Yunus and Sainsbury's have any mutual interest in energy or other pro-youth curricula

youth & yunus curricuta centr

If yunus wants a new identity for curricula centre  he and youth most need to viralise positively around the world then he can have yunus.tv, socialbusiness.tv or youthandyunus.com

League Tables of the Countries doing most to free the bangladeshi sb curriculum as centre of gravity for most pro-youth economic map of microfranchise solutions ever avialable for open sourcing through any community in need of empowerment, knowhow network and hi-trust sustaining services

Since The Economist started the search in 1972 for bottom up organisational designs that could make every global village sustainable an the net generation the most productive and collaborative time for worldwide youth - bangladesh has developed the most unique curriculum but understanding how it can apply to any global market sector that needs to reconnect with peoples futures - be that banking or energy, healthcare or education ... needs great collaboration nations or collaboration capitals we have tried to keep notes at such jotting spaces as http://yunuscity.ning.comhttp:/leadersandyunus.ning.com and http://bracnet.ning.comfrom which this updating league table of most collaborative nations of the pro-youth curriculum of social business is updated- tell us if you disagree - and link us to videos or audios which millions of youth need to see on social business   We leave the USA out of the league tables - partly because Washington DC is the editorial portal of Norman Macr..., partly because we need the open education technology that usa is miles ahead n piloting englih langiage education with, and partly because empowering the developing world needs a cross-cultural depth that it is better to keep the USA out of even tryng to edit until or unless k-12 schools have much deeper training modules on what its really like to come form other countries or demographics ....

in mathematically connected ways so will the stories of diaspora scots and the greatest mathematicians ever home schooled -central european jewish teens who emigrated eg Neumann , Einstein ... to USA 2nd quarter of the 20th century; it is on such diversity that entrepreneurial revolution diaries have been shaped

EconomistPOOR.com : Dad was born in the USSR in 1923 - his dad served in British Embassies. Dad's curiosity enjoyed the opposite of a standard examined education. From 11+ Norman observed results of domination of humans by mad white men - Stalin from being in British Embassy in Moscow to 1936; Hitler in Embassy of last Adriatic port used by Jews to escape Hitler. Then dad spent his last days as a teen in allied bomber command navigating airplanes stationed at modernday Myanmar. Surviving thanks to the Americas dad was in Keynes last class where he was taught that only a handful of system designers control what futures are possible. EconomistScotland.com AbedMooc.com

To help mediate such, question every world eventwith optimistic rationalism, my father's 2000 articles at The Economist interpret all sorts of future spins. After his 15th year he was permitted one signed survey a year. In the mid 1950s he had met John Von Neumann whom he become biographer to , and was the only journalist at Messina's's birth of EU. == If you only have time for one download this one page tour of COLLABorations composed by Fazle Abed and networked by billion poorest village women offers clues to sustainability from the ground up like no white ruler has ever felt or morally audited. by London Scot James Wilson. Could Queen Victoria change empire fro slavemaking to commonwealth? Some say Victoria liked the challenge James set her, others that she gave him a poison pill assignment. Thus James arrived in Calcutta 1860 with the Queens permission to charter a bank by and for Indian people. Within 9 months he died of diarrhea. 75 years later Calcutta was where the Young Fazle Abed grew up - his family accounted for some of the biggest traders. Only to be partitioned back at age 11 to his family's home region in the far north east of what had been British Raj India but was now to be ruled by Pakistan for 25 years. Age 18 Abed made the trek to Glasgow University to study naval engineering.

1943 marked centenary autobio of The Economist and my teenage dad Norman prepping to be navigator allied bomber command Burma Campaign -thanks to US dad survived, finished in last class of Keynes. before starting 5 decades at The Economist; after 15 years he was allowed to sign one survey a year starting in 1962 with the scoop that Japan (Korea S, Taiwan soon hk singapore) had found development mp0de;s for all Asian to rise. Rural Keynes could end village poverty & starvation; supercity win-win trades could celebrate Neumanns gift of 100 times more tech per decade (see macrae bio of von neumann)

Since 1960 the legacy of von neumann means ever decade multiplies 100 times more micro-technology- an unprecedented time for better or worse of all earthdwellers; 2025 timelined and mapped innovation exponentials - education, health, go green etc - (opportunities threats) to celebrating sustainability generation by 2025; dad parted from earth 2010; since then 2 journals by adam smith scholars out of Glasgow where engines began in 1760- Social Business; New Economics have invited academic worlds and young graduates to question where the human race is going - after 30 business trips to wealthier parts of Asia, through 2010s I have mainly sherpa's young journalist to Bangladesh - we are filing 50 years of cases on women empowerment at these web sites AbedMOOC.com FazleAbed.com EconomistPoor.com EconomistUN.com WorldRecordjobs.com Economistwomen.com Economistyouth.com EconomistDiary.com UNsummitfuture.com - in my view how a billion asian women linked together to end extreme poverty across continental asia is the greatest and happiest miracle anyone can take notes on - please note the rest of this column does not reflect my current maps of how or where the younger half of the world need to linkin to be the first sdg generation......its more like an old scrap book

how do humans design futures?-in the 2020s decade of the sdgs – this question has never had more urgency. to be or not to be/ – ref to lessons of deming or keynes, or glasgow university alumni smith and 200 years of hi-trust economics mapmaking later fazle abed - we now know how-a man made system is defined by one goal uniting generations- a system multiplies connected peoples work and demands either accelerating progress to its goal or collapsing - sir fazle abed died dec 2020 - so who are his most active scholars climate adaptability where cop26 november will be a great chance to renuite with 260 years of adam smith and james watts purposes t end poverty-specifically we interpret sdg 1 as meaning next girl or boy born has fair chance at free happy an productive life as we seek to make any community a child is born into a thriving space to grow up between discover of new worlds in 1500 and 1945 systems got worse and worse on the goal eg processes like slavery emerged- and ultimately the world was designed around a handful of big empires and often only the most powerful men in those empires. 4 amazing human-tech systems were invented to start massive use by 1960 borlaug agriculture and related solutions every poorest village (2/3people still had no access to electricity) could action learn person to person- deming engineering whose goal was zero defects by helping workers humanize machines- this could even allowed thousands of small suppliers to be best at one part in machines assembled from all those parts) – although americans invented these solution asia most needed them and joyfully became world class at them- up to 2 billion people were helped to end poverty through sharing this knowhow- unlike consuming up things actionable knowhow multiplies value in use when it links through every community that needs it the other two technologies space and media and satellite telecoms, and digital analytic power looked promising- by 1965 alumni of moore promised to multiply 100 fold efficiency of these core tech each decade to 2030- that would be a trillion tmes moore than was needed to land on the moon in 1960s. you might think this tech could improve race to end poverty- and initially it did but by 1990 it was designed around the long term goal of making 10 men richer than 40% poorest- these men also got involved in complex vested interests so that the vast majority of politicians in brussels and dc backed the big get bigger - often they used fake media to hide what they were doing to climate and other stuff that a world trebling in population size d\ - we the 3 generations children parents grandparents have until 2030 to design new system orbits gravitated around goal 1 and navigating the un's other 17 goals do you want to help/ 8 cities we spend most time helping students exchange sustainability solutions 2018-2019 BR0 Beijing Hangzhou:
