week 1 pro-youth economics timeline 170 60 50 40 30 20 10 years ago and now!

The Economist was born 170 years ago as a tool Scot James Wilson needed to sack the majority of politicians in House of Parliament who had taken over from serving the public by big vested interests. At that time London was growing as the epicentre of the most powerful empire yet seen. James demanded transparent questioning of the capital's decision-makers, diarised week by week, with the goals of designing the industrial revolution in a way that ended hunger and ended capital abuse of youth. Queen Victoria took a liking to James' idea to change her role from head of slavemaking empired to hub of commonwealth which provided the moral enouragement a media needs to sustain its founder's purpose beyond his parting . The pro-youth curriculum of the first 100 years of The Economist is ably summarised in The Economist's centenary biography in 1943 so we will mainly focus on the most 60 years of pro-youth economics, with some unique help from Norman Macrae Family Foundation. Dad specialised in pro-youth economics at The Economist form 1948 to 1988, research he continued to his parting in 2010- his last project inviting 2000 worldwude youth to co-journalise around dr yunus book on future capitalism

60 years ago dad wrote the London Capital market - it explored how a place can only grow if capital structures families savings to invest in next generation out of that place

50 years ago having been the only journalist at Messina diarising attempts to design a peaceful European Union, dad had already seen too much bureaucracy taking over. Instead he looked East- considering Japan to have the most positive win-win economic model of world trade

40 years ago dad was especially heartened to see first experiments of youth sharing knowledge arouhd a digital network. Evidence was alread in that tv advertsing had been designed to spin the most uneconomic of media; the hope was that the net generation would be freed to take over such dumbing down media by smartening up worldiwde webs. The Economist coined the term Entrepreneurial Revolutionfor the dialogues Norman spent the ret of is life cheerleading : To start up post-industrial revolution, none of the 20th century' largest organsiational typologies could sustain the net generation. Searching out new capitalism was an exicting as well as urgent job for any pro-youth economist to share. The opportunity: to celebrate multi-win economics of abundance because unlike things that get consumed up , knowhow can multiply value in use.

FREEING 7 WONDERs - Pursposes of the most Critial Markets needed to Sustain Communities as we go global.

30 years ago dad's book "The 2024 Report" on 7 most critical markets to free round purposes that can sustain every community was published along with maps on how to invest in youth co-creating the next 3 billion jobs. Note the net generation would have a million times more collaboration technology to empower sustainability on earth than the 1960s generation had to race to the moon. Dad was well aware, from being personally mentored by Keynes, that economists can only design one of 2 opposite futures -those that 99% of families want for their children, those that 1% of big brothers wish to dominate however unsustainable they make communities' futures.

20 years ago- with the emergence of berners lee web, dad was celebrating finishing the biography of von neumann who inter alia had stated this stunning vision of open technolgy workd- in most cases there will be no reason for patents to last for more than 3 months, in a networked world that will be far enough lead to choose partners for any leader pasioante in continued innovation of the maret for the greater good

10 years ago - the start of the 2000s had ben taken over by the most anti-youth economists wall street has ever hired and a white house ignorant of culture and compound risk. Better go Cosidenr Bangaldesh to rediscover pro-youth curriculum designed to solve vilages most desparte dolutions starting as The Economist had 170 years ago with ending hunger being the most deeply system interconnecting goal.

Dad (Norman Macrae) created the genre Entrepreneurial Revolution  to debate how to make the net generation the most productive and collaborative . We had first participated in computer assisted learning experiments in 1972. Welcome to more than 40 years of linking pro-youth economics networks- debating can the internet be the smartest media our species has ever collaborated around?

2010s = Worldwide Youth's most productive and collaborative decade

1972: Norman Macrae starts up Entrepreneurial Revolution debates in The Economist. Will we the peoples be in time to change 20th C largest system designs and make 2010s worldwide youth's most productive time? or will we go global in a way that ends sustainability of ever more villages/communities?
