We're thrilled to announce the establishment of hashtag#SCSPtech's Commission on U.S. Quantum Primacy (CUSP). The Commission will be chaired by Senator Todd Young (R-IN), Senator Ben Ray Luján (D-NM), and SCSP President Ylli Bajraktari, and will bring together eleven additional leaders from across the American quantum ecosystem to ensure that the emergence and diffusion of quantum technologies strengthen U.S. national power, driving our national security, technological transformation, and economic might. The Commissioners include: - Dr. Megan Anderson, Executive Vice President of Technology, IQT; - Dr. Gretchen Campbell, Associate Vice President for Quantum Research, UMD; - Niccolo De Masi, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, IonQ; - Dr. Jay Gambetta, Director of Research and IBM Fellow, IBM; - Pat Gelsinger, General Partner, Playground Global; - Jack Hidary, Chief Executive Officer, SandboxAQ; - Dr. Mit Jha, Chief Executive Officer, Quantum Corridor; - Dr. Thomas Mason, Director, Los Alamos National Laboratory; - Dr. Whitney Mason, Director of the Microsystems Technology Office, DARPA; - Laura McGill, Director, Sandia National Laboratories; and - Dr. Hartmut Neven, Founder and Lead, Google Quantum AI. early example how deep mins has open sourced nature 250 million p[roteins - without computers with billion times more brainpower than humans this would have been billion years of doctor level academic work
how we got here- 20th c maths advances - brilliant engineers
